Powai

The streets where it all began and ended,
Those days were splendid,

Our happiness abundant,
Who knew, I'd very soon be redundant,

Our carefree days were soon replaced,
By loneliness and distaste,

You changed, so did I,
We couldn't see eye to eye,

On big and small decisions,
You left no provisions,

To make me feel heard and seen,
Perhaps your death was God's chance of cutting me clean,

From this toxic relationship,
Which was rosy at first, but soon turned into an ammunition filled ship,

Goodbye and good riddance,
Perhaps your disappearance,

Was exactly what my son and I needed,
As opposed to the lies that you feeded,

Into our non suspecting minds,
Go on, blow away, into the winds,

We release you,
We have learnt long ago, to live without you.
