And I could feel it everywhere,
A bad case of food poisoning,
That left my mind and body no longer reasoning.
The next eight hours were utter hell;
At the end of it, I felt like a drained-out well,
This advice played on repeat: "Chew slowly and don't gulp,"
Yet all I had been doing was gulping it to pulp,
Was it food poisoning, or was it GERD?
Either way, the lines were completely blurred,
My mind and body were no longer reasoning;
It hit me out of nowhere, and I felt it everywhere.
